Abstract Herbert A. Howe (1858-1926) was Professor of Astronomy and Applied Mathematics, Director of Chamberlin Observatory, Dean of College of Arts and Sciences, and Dean of the Graduate School at the University of Denver, Denver, Colorado. He was instrumental in building the University of Denver's Chamberlin Observatory (1890) named after Humphrey B. Chamberlin.
