Both the Paper and the Himelgrin families are of Polish and Jewish decent. The families knew each other in Poland and both immigrated to the United States. The families were united with the marriage of Evelyn Paper and Gerald Himelgrin in 1947. This collection portrays Jewish community life in Denver.
