Abstract Maxine Munt was a modern dancer and dance educator who studied at the Bennington School of the Dance at Bennington College in Bennington, Vermont. In 1952, Munt and her husband, Alfred Brooks, opened the Munt-Brooks Studio in New York. In 1966, Munt and Brooks moved to Denver, Colorado and founded a theater called The Changing Scene.
