Abstract

The Ettenson family lived in Denver, Colorado, and the collection consists of various clothing items and hats that the family wore. There are eight women's hats, three dresses, a silk embroidered bed jacket, a man's smoking jacket, and a child's dress dating from the early 1900s to the 1960s.

Abstract A man's dressing gown of gray, black and red silk in a jacquard weave. The ends of the red satin sash have gray and red satin braids with hanging tassels. The cuffed sleeves of the jacket have red lining. The right front has one pocket and three red silk covered buttons. The left front has two pockets and three button holes. There is a red satin lining around the neckline and a solid black acetate lining in the rest of the jacket. The manufacturer's label reads: ''Gano Downs Co. DENVER''....
