Abstract Dress Blue Jewish War Veterans uniform that was worn by Sam Weinstein at events at the Jewish War Veterans, Post 344, Denver, Colorado. Sam Weinstein was one of the founders of the JWV Post 344. The jacket shows JWV isignias on both sides of the collar. On both lapels are JWV buttons and a JWV shoulder patch on the left sleeve. The medals and bars include a medal with a star of David, the WWII Victory medal and the Army Good Conduct medal. Three buttons on the jacket are missing. The...

Abstract Sam Weinstein was born on the west side of Denver, Colorado in 1912. He attended the University Of Denver (DU) as an undergraduate and graduated from the law school in 1932. He was an attorney in Denver for many years. Rowena Mae Akers was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1911 and her family moved to Denver in the 1920s. Series consists of Sam Weinstein's army infantry jacket and a Jewish War Veterans uniform. Sam Weinstein served in Belgium during World War II and was a founding member Denver's Jewish War Veterans Post 344.
