Abstract Doctor Maurice Katzman was born in Russia but was brought to Denver when he was an infant. He graduated from the University of Denver in 1917 and received his medical degree from the University of Colorado in 1919. He married Leah Schmitt in 1923. Doctor Katzman specialized in cardiology and was one of the leading cardiologists in the Midwest.
