Abstract

A exhibt label about Henry Lowenstein and his addition of African American plays to the Bonfils Theatre, beginning with "Raisin in the Sun" by Lorraine Hansberry. The lead role was played by Jonathan Parker, father of Cleo Parker Robinson's father. Performance for the AKAs, a Black sorority, was performed on April 4, the day of Martin Luther King's assasination.
