Abstract

Mrs. Cravey describes her life in the Grand Canyon. Born in 1907 in Kansas City she spent most of her life in the Grand Canyon. She discusses her children, marriage, family, and work for Fred Harvey. The majority of the interview is not specifically centered around the Grand Canyon buy instead focuses on her relatives, friends and family.

Richmond talks with Kuhn about his numerous years of experience in the logging industry and how his work was both dependent and interrelated to the Grand Canyon Railroad. Information about lumber companies in the Grand Canyon area, including Signoff & Moosde, Saginaw Co., Southwest Forest Industries, and Baker Fentress. Interview conducted of centenarian Walter G. Mann by Al Richmond at the Pine Rest Home in Flagstaff. Mann was a Forest Service supervisor in the Kaibab National Forest for 30 years. He also supervised the loading and trasport of lumber along the Grand Canyon Railroad.
