Abstract
A group of Colorado Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks members pose in front of the Elks building at 421 Main Street in Ouray, Colorado. The brick Elks Lodge is a 1906 Italianate-Second Empire building. Over the front entrance is a clock with an elk's head decoration in the center of the clock. Group at the Mid Western Dinner of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks at the 74th National Convention. Milton Louis Anfenger is seated at the rear circular table at the right in front of a window. He is wearing a boutonnière and a ribbon. It is said that Congregation Emanuel in Denver, Colorado was founded at the bris or circumcision ceremony of Milton Anfenger, the eldest son of Louis and Louise Anfenger.
