Abstract Wife of A.V. Wilson; Married A.V.Wilson December 23, 1923. Moved to Westminster in 1952, where they built their home by hand at 7450 Bradburn Blvd. Iva & A.V. had three children. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the charter convention in 1957 to write a city charter. A.V. was mayor of Westminster Aug. 1957 to Dec. 1957 following the resignation of Francis M. Day. Iver's father Andrew bought land at 68th Ave & Knox Court in 1910 where Iver was born. In 1947 Iver was promoted from Athletic Director to principal of Union High School. Iver spent 40 years educating youngsters in District 50 as a teacher, coach, principal of Westminster High School and for the last 25 years as superintendent of the school district

James G. Wark started in the CF&I mining department in 1958 and became a manager of mines on January 1, 1980. Wark then became the head of Evergreen Resources, a subsidiary of CF&I,which sold off chunks of CF&I property in the 1970s.

Abstract

Jasper Butero was born at the Sopris Mining town owned by CF&I. His father moved there in 1901 after living three years in Louisiana. Butero was one of five brothers and graduated high school in 1936. He went to junior college for two years while working in the coal mines in the summer.In total he worked in the coal mines from 1941-1960, even making up to $4,800.00 one year. Butero was married in 1939.

Abstract

Jerry Royther served as director of parks and recreation starting in 1978. 'We tried to balance parks around the City, building first in one quadrant, then another." The balancing act was difficult at times, he said, especially with twenty-eight subdivisions developing and everybody wanting their park first." Royther talks of development of parks, recreation centers and partnership with Hyland Hills Recreation District. Park names connection with Westminster, England.
