Union board of governors present Deuce’s Wild Combo – jazz group composed of DU students. Next Clarion is the Powder Puff.

32 Pioneer Students named to Who’s Who in American Colleges. Engineer’s Day Festivities. Patty Baker honored as Miss Denver U for 1955 – she received the honor at the Associated Women Students’ (AWS) banquet. Suzanne Dress named as outstanding junior woman of the year and the newly elected president of AWS on the UPC. Miss Esther Dimchevsky was presented with the Faculty Award at the AWS banquet.

Coeds elect King on October 4, 1955. First student Senate meeting of the year held on October 4, 1955. Frats nominate eight for AWS “Apron King” (Bob Bryant, Ken Curtis, Jack Deeter, Orville Duffy, Sonny Moore, Mike Pappas, Paul Plath and Bob Siegelman). Men’s Dorms elect officers. Glen Buse, DU varsity football star was injured in automobile accident. “Y” slates gala events for membership quest. DU boasts new housemothers.
