Perlmutter, Essie


Essie Perlmutter was born in Denver, Colorado and graduated from Loretta Heights College. Both she and her husband Jordon Perlmutter, president of Perlmutter & Company, grew up on Denver's west side and are the parents of four grown children. Essie was an active member of the following boards: Beth Israel Home, the Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado, Kempe Center, the Denver Center for the Performing arts, the Mizel Museum and the Mayor's Commission for the Arts.

Overview Jordon Perlmutter was born in 1931 to immigrant parents and died in Denver on December 7, 2015. He was a Denver builder, real estate developer, and property manager. In 1951, he founded Perl-Mack Enterprises with his cousin Sam Primack. Perl Mack introduced the concept of planned communities in Denver in Northglenn, Southglenn and Montbello.
