Biography

Mrs. Aaron (Ray) Shapiro was born and raised in New York City. She became involved in the New York Ladies' Auxiliary which raised money for the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society. JCRS Ladies' Auxiliaries were in many cities across the United States. The New York Ladies' Auxiliary raised money for a number of the buildings on the JCRS campus, including the New York Building. After her husband Aaron died, Ray Shapiro moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico to live with one of her daughters, Teresa Belle Ravel.
