Overview University of Denver Chancellor Maurice B. Mitchell and King Shwayder pose with a plaque at the dedication ceremony for the Shwayder Art Building in Denver, Colorado. Jesse and Nellie Shwayder Inc., a family foundation, donated $1.7 million toward the construction, the building's architect was Slater-Paull and Associates, and the firm Gerald H. Phipps Inc. was awarded the rights to construct the building.
