Wife of Leon Sobol (1873-1952). She signed a 1908 lease for a theater at 2715 West Colfax in Denver, Colorado. Leon Sobol's sister married Albert Groussman, who owned Groussman's Grocery, which is now in 9th Street Park.

Abstract Russian immigrants, Leon and Ella Kaplan Sobol, came from Minnesota to Denver in the early 1900s. The couple had three sons: Chester, Harry, and David, all born in Denver. In 1908, Ella Sobol signed a lease with Harris Pellish to use his property at 2715 West Colfax for a theatre until 1910. While children, Chester and Harry played the organ in the movie theater to enhance the patrons experience. Harry Sobol married Sarah L.
