Abstract Alan Gilbert (1944-) is John Evans Professor at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. His research examines democracy and social justice (particularly nonviolent social justice movements of the modern era), with particular emphasis on minority communities and those whose voices have been undervalued and historically marginalized.
