Biography
Sandra Vinnik was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, the granddaughter of of Sam Marchick. She married Dr. Irwin E. Vinnik in 1957. The couple had two sons, Stephen and Jonathan. She was the founder of the Dr. Irwin E. Vinnik Fellowship for Advanced Study in Israel, member of Center for Judaic Studies, and member of Rocky Mountain Jewish Historical Society.

Two Jewish men, Simon Bamberger and Henry Altman, were among the founders of Cheyenne in 1867. Jewsh businessmen followed, and the first congregation was incorporated in 1888. B'nai B'rith was established in Cheyenne, Wyoming in 1921.
