Army Dress Uniform, 1942
Abstract
2-piece WWII Army dress uniform (tan jacket and matching pants) for summer, worn by Hank Marsarky at his wedding to Bobbe Oberfelder on August 30, 1944 in the Oberfedler's Denver home. Tag inside jacket "Quality by Kuppenheimer." Another tag identifies the jacket as being originally tailored for Mr. Lt. L. S. Mayers Jr., 6/24/1942. Hank was friend with the tailor who originally made the suit for his son who was killed early in the war.

Biographical / Historical
Hank served as a first lieutenant in the US Army's Chemical Corp from 1941-1946. Training for his assignment brought him from New York to Colorado where he met Bobbe Oberfelder, his future wife. Hank earned the American Campaign medal and WWII Victory Medal.
