Biographical / Historical

Raymond Ehrlinger was a draftsman for the CF&I Steel Corporation. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Ehrlinger finished school at the age of 14 in the 8th grade. He went to Farris Point at Bethlehem Steel and in 1922 transferred to engineering department. In 1926 he worked for the Tennesse Coal and Iron Co and began at CF&I on Thanksgiving Day , 1928. Took an ICS course in structural engineering, spent 4 years at Johns Hopkins night school in math... and engineering, in 1934 attended the Junior College in the top floor of court house. Mentioned steelworkers went off ERP in 1933. Retired in 1966.
