Rachel Noel for Colorado Reflections

Rachel Noel, a Colorado educator, was born in Hampton, Virginia and moved to Colorado when her husband started his medical practice. They chose Colorado because Noel's husband could practice medicine in an integrated hospital. Reflects on segregation and discrimination against African Americans in health, housing, education, and daily life in Colorado in the 1950s.
