Abstract

This box contains materials related to the DU Campus Bookstore as well as DU's partnership with CollegeInvest in order to be a college lender of student loans.

Materials about the Campus Bookstore include newspaper clippings, the "Bookstore Bugle" publication, gift catalogs, flyers, communications to the DU community, internal memos, papers about copyright issues, papers about discount issues, pricing inventories, papers about requesting and stocking textbooks, a 2005 textbook report, manuals and forms, a consultant's report, a FY '73-'74 annual report, and evaluations and analyses of the bookstore.

Materials about the partnership with College Invest include documents about student loans, The Deficit Reduction Omnibus Reconciliation Act of 2005, federal loan programs, communications with and about College Invest, and a School as Lender Partnership Proposal from March, 2006. There are also 3 binders. The first binder is titled "Colorado Seminary and College Invest, August 1, 2006, College Lender Program." The second binder is titled ""Lender of Record Student Loan Transaction, May 15, 2000 (woody)." The third binder is titled "Revolving Financing Agreement Between University of Denver (Colorado Seminary) and Colorado Student Obligation Bond Authorty (DBA College Invest), August 1, 2003." There is a bound notebook labeled "Student Loans Sales Transaction."

This collection contains materials related to the responsibilities of and created by the University of Denver's Office of Business and Financial Affairs. Their primary role is to oversee the financial management, business operators, and built environment of the University. Thus, materials in this collection mostly cover the following topics: annual reports, real estate, budget, bonds and loans, agreements and contracts, and internal materials. This collection can be added to in the future.

Materials related to the campus bookstore are located in this collection because since at least the 1960s, the DU Bookstore has been located under the Division of Business and Financial Affairs (according to DU Org. Charts).
