Abstract

This box contains two films reels of lectures held by the University of Denver English Department and the Denver Quarterly. One of the lectures was given by W.J. Bate, an English professor at Harvard University. This reel is encased in a gray plastic casing. The other reel is unknown. It is encased in a clear plastic casing. Also included are several casette tapes of a lecture by Karl Gunnar Boklund. Another reel, titled "Insitute for 20th Centyrt Studies Spring Lecture Series," is held in a blue container with an orange number "7" written on the plastic casing of the reel itself. Another reel in a blue container is unlabeled but has a very small ID number on the casing of the reel itself: "D. 19Q734." Finally, a lecture titled "Ford: The Broken Heart" (part of the Chapman Lecture Series does not have an ID number or other identifiable information, but is the only of the three reels in a blue case without some kind of identifiable mark.

Materials in this collection date approximately between 1963 and 2006. Geographically, the majority of the contents was created in the Denver Metropolitan area and Massachusetts, although Chapman's correspondances come from many areas internationally including Europe and Africa.
