Abstract
Box 7 contains information on the U.S. Supreme Court Nomination Committee, a committee of the HNBA dedicated to appointing Hispanic judges to federal positions. It contains nominations and endorsements from the HNBA for federal positions; correspondence and communications on appointing a Hispanic Supreme Court Justice or any federal position, especially the appointments of John Mendez, Patricia Diaz Dennis, and Sonia Sotomayor; directories of Hispanic judges, including an annual "Hispanic Yearbook"; and a VHS recording of a news conference where participants address the need for a Hispanic Supreme Court Justice. The folders are organized chronologically.
