Box 2: Handwritten Notes and Business Materials, between 1970-2000
Abstract
This box contains a collection of handwritten materials made and stored by Betty Carey along with materials for some of her family's businesses. There are three (3) full-sized notebooks, four (4) medium-sized notebooks, and six (6) small memo notebooks. Most of the notebooks contain personal notes about everyday activities and events as opposed to recipes. There are also many handwritten recipes that were found loose amongst her collection, some include dates and their origin. Lastly, her family owned and operated both The Larimer Restaurant and Oyster Bar (unknown dates, possibly opened circa 1986) and Town and Country Fine Foods (1986-1987). This box contains newspaper clippings about both places along with notes from Betty about their operations and recipes.
