Box 9: Contents of Recipe Binders, between 1970-1990

This box contains the contents of 15 different binders owned and organized by Betty Carey. All of the binders contain a variety of recipe cards, newspaper clippings of recipes, cooking/recipe pamphlets and booklets, and typed recipes. Some of the binders contain divisions (some were made by Betty Carey and some were pre-made and came with the recipe binder).

Titles of the binders include "Poultry", "Fish and Seafood", "Meat", "My Recipes" (there are two binders with this name), "Cooking Clips Recipe File", "II", "III", and a red binder with "For Brad from Betty Carey" written on it. One of the binders is titled "Mayo Clinic Health Letter" and it mostly contains newsletters by the Mayo Clinic about general health topics, but there are also some healthy food recipes included. Lastly, there were 5 unlabeled binders that all contained materials related to food, cooking, and recipes.

Some items within binders had dates written on them by Betty Carey. This is presumably the date in which she found and collected the recipe, or the date when she made the recipe and wrote it down.
