Box 10: Organized Recipe Clippings, between 1980-1995

This box contains newspaper recipe clippings, newspaper article clippings, magazine clippings, printed copies of recipes, mailed recipes, published journals, some whole newspapers and whole magazines, and catalogs. All of these items were collected by Betty Carey and organized into different bags and folders in which they were stored.

Some of the clippings have marginalia and annotations by Betty Carey which indicate her thoughts on the recipes, possible uses, dates of making them, and other general underlinings. Some of the annotations made by Betty Carey indicate to which family member she wanted to share the clipping with, possibly for reasons of their businesses like Town and Country Fine Foods and the Larimer Restaurant and Oyster Bar.

Some folders were originally labeled by Betty Carey, those labels have been indicated on the applicable folders. However, many of the bags and folders were unlabeled and seem to be grouped together without any obvious themes or reasons.
