Box 10: Careworn, Stencils, 2008-2009

 File — Box: M486.0010
Identifier: M486.02.0010

Abstract

Box contains process materials and materials as exhibited for the art project "Careworn" and materials that were used to exhibit the project. Careworn was in process from 2008-2009 and was then exhibited at the Metro State College of Denver's Center for Visual Arts (CVA) in 2009.

The items in this box consist of laser-cut stencils that were used to put text onto the walls at the art exhibit. The text on the stencils describes the steps of doing laundry over and over again: "soak, scrub, agitate, rinse, wring, pin, wait, press, fold, soak..." The stencils are labeled in order A, B, C, and D. Wheatpaste, lint, and sugar is what was used in the stencils.
