Box 12: Devotion, Fabric Materials, 2009-2012
Abstract
This box contains fabric materials as exhibited for the art project "Devotion." Devotion was in process from 2009-2010 and was then exhibited at Regis in 2010 and Redline in 2012.
From bottom to top, this box contains the crinoline floor covering from the exhibitions that was placed over baseboard and over a field of detergent, the table runner into which the remnants of “mothering” were set in heat with the “mangle” machine, four (4) of the rags of participants for the Regis installation, and one example of the housedress worn by select attendants at the Redline Installation.

This collection consists of the process materials related to the construction of the Christina Noel Tribute Book about dance teacher Christina Noel, created by artist Heather Doyle-Maier. This collection also contains process materials for various art projects and exhibits created by Heather Doyle-Maier.
