Abstract
This box includes process materials for an project called "Piece by Piece" that appears to have been created and performed at the Jefferson County Public Library between 1994 and 1996. This project appears to combine quilting with musical performance and songs.
Items included in this box are songs for an album with lyrics and sheet music, album planning notes and credits to musicians, other songs about quilting, notes and concepts for the performance, communications about the performance, a contract with Jefferson County Public Library, a press news clipping, papers on quilt research (including the work women do with their hands and the 1996 AIDs quilt), and photos from "The Names Project" (AIDs) quilt event in Washington DC 1996.
