Abstract

This box contains materials from trainings that CME conducted from 2005-2020. The trainings were for faculty, staff, students, RAs, and facilitators/trainers at events like orientation. The materials include training evaluations, training handouts, training instructions, communications, presentations, and more.

There are also materials from various programs run by CME. CME conducted student orientation programs called Life Outside the Classroom which became Discoveries around 2016. Additionally, CME ran a dialogue program which was previously called Voices of Discovery and became DU Dialogues. And CME also partnered with a company called Sustained Dialogue and ran some of their programs here too. DU also held an LGBTIQ+ Gala, and this box has materials from them in 2010 and 2012. CME also partnered with academic departments across the university to run related courses on Intergroup Dialogue. This box contains materials about the courses in the Communication Studies department such as Voices and Gender (COMN 1015) in 2017, Intergroup Dialogue (COMN 2700) in 2018, and Identities in Dialogue (COMN 2000) in 2019.

This collection contains materials created by, stored by, and references by the DU Center for Multicultural Excellence. This includes articles by third parties about relevant topics of diversity, equity, and inclusion on college campuses. Materials (such as flyers, attendence records, worksheets, etc) from events hosted or sponsored by CME at DU. There are administrative records which were internal papers about budget, annual reports, evaluations, committees, publications, and more. Lastly, this collection holds other various papers from CME such as thank you letters and other records.
