Abstract

This box contains 4 posters and 1 pair of sunglasses. The sunglasses are rainbow colored and were from the 2010 LGBTIQ+ Gala hosted at the University of Denver. Other materials from this gala can be found in U336.03.0025. One of the posters is for a Bystander Intervention training event hosted by DU Campus Safety, DU Campus Safety Awareness, and DU's Gender Violence Education and Support Services on an unspecified date. The next poster says "Love Respect, Respect Love. To show someone you care about them, you must show that you care how they feel! This means: asking them how they feel, really listening to them when they try to talk to you, accepting their feelings, not invalidating them, showing empathy and understanding, being emotionally literate and using feeling words." This poster was hung up for Relationship Wellness Awareness Month by the DU Gender Violence Education and Support Services Office. The third poster is for the DU Allyship Summit 2018 presented by the Josef Korbel School of International Studies. This event was hosted on May 3, 2018 from 8am-7pm. The last poster is for DUPC11 which was a student-led conference that sought to educate the DU community on issues of priviledge and oppression. This conference was presented by the Latino Student Alliance and was hosted in Sturm Hall on May 20 (no year provided) at 11:30am.

This collection contains materials created by, stored by, and references by the DU Center for Multicultural Excellence. This includes articles by third parties about relevant topics of diversity, equity, and inclusion on college campuses. Materials (such as flyers, attendence records, worksheets, etc) from events hosted or sponsored by CME at DU. There are administrative records which were internal papers about budget, annual reports, evaluations, committees, publications, and more. Lastly, this collection holds other various papers from CME such as thank you letters and other records.
