Includes typed transcriptions of original materials including correspondence between, and public statements from, government officials such as Governor John Evans and Cheyenne Chief Black Kettle, and United States military officers such as Major Samuel Colley and Colonel John Chivington. The materials also includes reports, congressional testimony, and newspaper articles from The Daily Rocky Mountain News.
