Abstract

This box contains copies of the Annual Reports of the Treasurer from 1922-1950. These reports include balance sheets, accounts receivable, mortgages and contracts receivable, stocks, accumulated surplus/deficits, reports on specific colleges and divisions, and more. Years included are 1922, 1925, 1926, 1927, 1930, 1932, 1934, 1935, 1936, 1937, 1938, 1939, 1940, 1941, 1942, 1943, 1946-1947, 1948, 1949, and 1950. 'Year' indicates the FY end, so the 1925 copy covers the FY 1924-1925.

This box also contains various annual reports of the Office of Business Managmenet, annual reports of departments reporting to the Manager of Business Affairs, and annual reports of the Office of Business and Financial Affairs from 1964-1975. Many of these annual reports from the Office of Business Affairs include annual reports from the smaller offices/departments (i.e. Bookstore, computer center, purchasing, mail services, telephone, plant operations, and more) that reported to the head of the Office of Business Affairs.

From the Collection:

This collection contains materials related to the responsibilities of and created by the University of Denver's Office of Business and Financial Affairs. Their primary role is to oversee the financial management, business operators, and built environment of the University. Thus, materials in this collection mostly cover the following topics: annual reports, real estate, budget, bonds and loans, agreements and contracts, and internal materials. This collection can be added to in the future.

Materials in this box are arranged in chronologocal order.

As the Annual Reports of the Treasurer are presented to the Board of Trustees, the Annual Reports of the Treasurer from 1922-1950 that are located in this box constitute at least the third copy of this report that the University of Denver Archives has in its collections. Other copies of the Annual Reports of the Treasurer, including years not found in this box, can be located in the Board of Trustees Record Collection (U114) Box 50 (U114.13.0050) or in the Closed Stacks of the DU Special Collections and Archives.
