Abstract

This box contains materials produced by the Department of Campus Safety (previously, the Department of Campus Security). Some materials pertain to correspondence and plans that were publicly available to other entities and people working at DU. These public materials include Campus Safety formal publications/newsletters, incident reports, news clippings, memos to the University community, crime alerts, training manuals, program materials (Rape Agression Defense Program, Mountain Bike Safety Program, Crime Mapping and Analysis Workbook), a skateboarding policy, and documents related to campus parking and parking permits. Additionally, the other folders in the box contain more internal/administrative materials. These include annual reports, Department objectives and goals, department evaluations, organization charts, blank report forms, employee manuals, DU buildings list, campus safety vehicle lists, and presentations.

This collection is currently arranged into one (1) series: 1. Flyers and Pamphlets. But it also contains internal administrative materials, public correspondence, emergency preparedness plans, and Annual Security and Fire Safety reports.

Arrangement

This box was previously housed in the U113 (DU Business and Financial Affairs) Collection. The Department of Campus Safety has been located within the Division of Business and Financial Affairs at least since 1995, according to University Org. Charts. However, this collection had enough materials and is unrelated enough to business and financial affairs to warrent its own collection (U355).
