Scope and Contents
The collection contains materials intentionally assembled by the Ira M. and Peryle Hayutin Beck Memorial Archives of Jews in the Rocky Mountain region. The bulk of the photographs are from or related to various towns in Colorado, but the collection also contains photographs from other states in the western United States and other countries. There are some 19th century photograph types represented in the collection, including albumen prints, daguerrotypes, tintypes, post cards, colorized prints, cabinet cards, and cartes-de-visite.

Typed caption under photograph: ''Noah and Dorothy (Robinson) Atlivaick Atler, c. 1941; The Eli Atlivaick Atler and Morris Robinson families emigrated from Russia to America in 1900 and the late 1800's respectively. Noah Atler, a prominent Colorado attorney, started his law firm in the mid 1920's and continued practicing until his death in 1988. He was honored locally and nationally for his active participation and leadership in many civic and Jewish organizations; to name a few, ADL, B'nai B'rith, JCRS (American Medical Center), USO (western region), the National Jewish Welfare Board of Armed Services, Kiwanis, Big Brothers, National Council of Christian and Jews and Allied Jewish Federation.
He married Dorothy Robinson in 1927 and was the beloved father of Greta Horwitz, Janet Lozow and Larry Atler.
