Apple Blossom Boutonniere, circa 1906
Abstract
''Apple Blossom'' boutonnière worn by Max Rosenthal at his wedding to Anna Schatz on June 5, 1906, and the wedding photograph. When compared to the photograph of the wedding couple, the largest flower, (the centerpiece of the boutonnière), is missing. The boutonnière consists of two delicate green leaves, five white wax-covered flower buds, and one small, slightly-opened bud, also covered in wax. There are also three rows of spring green and white painted floral sprays.
