Honorary degree recipients: Lowell Thomas, Doctor of Literature, Reuben Gilbert Gustavson, Doctor of Humane Letters, Mary C. Walker, Doctor of Humane Letters. Conferring of degrees: Chancellor Ben M. Cherrington. The commencement address was given by Lowell Thomas.
