Abstract

Program for the University of Denver undergraduate, graduate and doctoral Centennial Commencement ceremony, June 5, 1964 at Ten o'clock. Honorary degree recipients: Walter Elmer Sikes, Doctor of Humane Letters and memeber of the University of Denver sociology faculty from 1930 to 1963; Robert Russell Porter, Doctor of Humane Letters, Mr Poter's sixteen years of service to the University of Denver have encompassed outstanding performance as an educator, scholar, creative writer, and administrator; Alfred Clarence Nelson, Doctor of Laws, he held many significant administrative positions at the University of Denver; John Evans, Jr., Doctor of Laws, Mr. Evans served first as president and then as chairman of the University's Board of Trustees from 1925 to 1946, he was named an honorary life trustee in June, 1951. Conferring of degrees: Chester M. Alter, Chancellor of the University.
