Abstract

Noel Hefty began her arts career as a dancer, earning her degree in Dance Education at the University of Wisconsin. Noel moved to Steamboat Springs and began her association with Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp and started the Steamboat Dance Theatre alongside Kay Henderson and others. This collection contains materials given to Noel by a family friend, David Watson. The materials document the H.M.S. Tiptoe of the Royal Navy.

Biographical / Historical

Noel Hefty began her arts career as a dancer, earning her degree in Dance Education at the University of Wisconsin. Noel moved to Steamboat Springs and began her association with Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp and started the Steamboat Dance Theatre alongside Kay Henderson and others. She served as President of the Colorado Dance Festival board for 10 years. Noel was named a Legend of Dance in Colorado by Perry-Mansfield in 2023.
