Morris Krupp Objects and Papers
Abstract
Morris Krupp, born in Leckava, Lithuania on February 10 1887 and died in Colordo on January 21, 1987. He left home at the age of 14 and immigrated to the United states. When he first came to Colorado he broke horses and was a cattle buyer. Later he established a cattle ranch. His wife Goldie was born in 1889 in Russia and died in Colorado on November 28, 1961. The collection contains a photograph of Goldie and Morris Krupp, a photograph of Morris, a tie pin, and the "Lazy K Lazy L" branding iron registered in 1929 by Morris Krupp. The collection also contains a framed photograph of Goldie Krupp, and a blanket from the Park Lane Hotel. The collection illustrates the lives of a Jewish rancher and his wife.

Morris Krupp was born in Leckava, Lithuania on February 10, 1887 and died in Colorado on January 21, 1987. He left home around the age of 14 and immigrated to the United States. When he first came to Colorado, he broke horses on a ranch. Later, he established his own ranch in Colorado and bought cattle. His wife Goldie was born in 1889 in Russia and died November 28, 1961. They had two children who were born in Colorado, Annie and Milton Krupp. He recorded the "K Lazy L" brand on January 14, 1918, but the brand was cancelled prior to 1937. A later brand, the "Lazy K Lazy L," was registered to Morris Krupp on March 13, 1929 and was transferred to the Sage family on February 9, 1954. The "Lazy K Lazy L" branding iron is part of the collection.

Scope and Contents
The collection contains a photograph of Goldie and Morris Krupp, a photograph of Morris, a tie pin, and the "Lazy K Lazy L" branding iron registered in 1929 by Morris Krupp. The collection also contains a framed photograph of Goldie Krupp and a blanket from the Park Lane Hotel that was owned by Jewish Denverite Benjamin Weinberg.
