Schloss Family Papers and World War II Artifact

Abstract Charles Murdock Schloss received his engineering degree from the University of Colorado and joined the Lindrooth Engineering company in 1918. His son Charles (Chuck) M. Schloss joined his father at the engineering firm in 1961. He was in the army for five years in various parts of the United States. Abstract Henry Schoen immigrated from Hungary in 1890 and worked as a salesman. He married Mildred Block on June 14, 1914 in Denver with Rabbi William S. Freidman performing the ceremony. They had two children, Lewis and Vivian. Mildred was Colorado born to German immigrant parents. School of Dentistry Records

This collection contains the records of The School of Dentistry at the University of Denver, which began holding classes in 1888. Operations and teaching were led by a group of local dentists and the school was one of the first to educate dental nurses. The school closed in 1932 after attempts to acquire state funding failed. The collection includes legal documents, newspaper clippings, and photos.
