(1) Scrapbook compiled by Robert Gamzey, editor of the Jewish News, in 1945 with news clippings from local and national papers all pertaining to the death of General Maurice Rose and one photograph of Rose. Maurice Rose was born in 1899 in Middletown, CT to Orthodox Jewish parents. The family moved to Denver, CO when Maurice was three. After graduation from highschool, Maurice Rose enlisted in the United States army when he was 15 and fought under General Pershing. He stayed in the army and attended various military schools.
