Abstract

This box contains three (3) photocopies of Stars and Stripes newspaper from April 23, April 26, and May 5 of 1945. It also contains a photocopy of Ecole Professionelle which has pictures from Reims, France and one can see the room where the surrender was signed ending World War II.

Abstract Charles Murdock Schloss received his engineering degree from the University of Colorado and joined the Lindrooth Engineering company in 1918. His son Charles (Chuck) M. Schloss joined his father at the engineering firm in 1961. He was in the army for five years in various parts of the United States. This is a practice bomb from about 1943: a 100 pound M38A2. It is dented and carries the signatures of soldiers from World War II who visited with the family of C.M. Schloss during the war years.
