Overview From 1951 to 1961, The Community College at the University of Denver offered adult education courses in Denver, Colorado from 1951-1961. This collection contains course catalogs, press releases, and other documents created by or related to the Community College.
Overview The Junior College at the University of Denver offered two year courses leading to professional and semi-professional Associate Degrees. After the dramatic drop of enrollments at the University of Denver in 1950-1951 due to issues stemming from the close of the second World War and accreditation issues, Chancellor Jacobs proposed in June 1951 that the Junior College and Community Institute programs be terminated in favor of a Community College.
