Central City Submarine, 1944
Black and white photograph of the mountain submarine pulled from the bottom of Lake Missouri in 1944. Submarine was constructed by Rufus Owens and had it's maiden voyage in 1898. WWII peaked interest of submarines and a Central City local entrepreneure decided to raise it. The submarine is on display at the Central City Museum in Central City, Colorado.
