Abstract The collection consists of 99 scrapbooks covering war-related issues spanning August 1939 to September 1947. The scrapbooks contain clippings, political cartoons, and editorials from Denver, Colorado area newspapers. The scrapbooks cover the period from the beginning of hostilities in Europe, sparked by the September 1, 1939 invasion of Poland by the Germans.
