Abstract
Russian immigrants, Leon and Ella Kaplan Sobol, came from Minnesota to Denver in the early 1900s. The couple had three sons: Chester, Harry, and David, all born in Denver. In 1908, Ella Sobol signed a lease with Harris Pellish to use his property at 2715 West Colfax for a theatre until 1910. While children, Chester and Harry played the organ in the movie theater to enhance the patrons experience. Harry Sobol married Sarah L.
