Abstract

Abe Winograd is sitting with others on a lawn in Israel. He is sitting at the left in a group of five people. Abraham Winograd was born in Poland in 1885, coming to the United States in 1909, and moving to Greeley, Colorado in 1916. He was a junk dealer, peddler, and founder of Winograd Poultry. He aslo was a founder of Beth Israel Congregation in Greeley.

Fact sheet and materials related to Russian ballet dancers Valery and Galina Panov. Valery and his wife Galina performed at the Kirov ballet in Leningrad until they applied for exit visas to Israel in 1972. They were expelled from the Kirov, imprisoned briefly, and allowed to leave Russia for Israel in 1974.
