'The Face on the Barroom Floor'
Photograph of the face painted on the bar room floor by Herndon Davis in 1936. Davis was commissioned by the Central City Opera House Association to paint a few works for properties around Central City, Colorado. Painting is based on the poem by Hugh Antoine D'Arcy but is actually of Edna Juanita (Cotter) Davis, Herndon's wife.

"The Wall", 2008
Encaustic wax painting; black background with silver metallic paint on textured surface; some gold metallic paint as well. The artwork also includes a small wood shelf with a pair of toddler sized shoes (black patent leather Mary Janes). Shoes and woodshelf in Box 30.
"Think we could strike a deal?", circa 1960
Pencil sketch on tracing paper of a woman on a doorstep with a milk bottle in one hand and the outstretched holding money (presumably) toward the milkman. The milkman has a milk crate of bottles in each hand and his head is turned back toward the woman on the doorstep. The quotation at the bottom of the sketch states "Think we could strike a deal?"

Multi-piece artwork consisting of an encaustic painting on canvas, pair of shoes and wood shelf for shoes. Canvas has floral patterned wallpaper with large red flowers, covered with wax. Canvas is surrounded by ash wood frame. Wax makes surface 3-dimensional.

11 women and two men pose for a portrait. In an enclosed handwritten note, the two men are identified as Professor Preston Powers and Mr. Thompson, and one of the women is identified as Miss Hilda Hager. The note and photo are both undated.
