Abstract Dr. Noa Dymenberg was born in Sifean (sp?), Romania (in the region of Basseribia). Dymenberg joined his father in the lumber business while also studying to be a rabbi, but decided to leave Romania to escape conscription in the army. He went to live with an acquaintance in Vienna, Austria, and began studying under him to become a doctor. Abstract Dr. Haskell M. Cohen (1875-1964) was considered a pioneer in Colorado medicine and surgery. After receiving his primary degree from an adjunct college of Columbia Universityin 1899, Cohen went to Vienna and Berlin for advanced medical study, and stayed there from 1904-1911 when he returned to Denver. Abstract Herman Fligelman (original name Yossel Burt) was born in Russia during the 1860s (exact date unknown) and fled to Berlad, Romania when he was five or six years old to escape conscription in the Czar's army. His parents presumably purchased a foreigner's passport for young Yossel, and he had to assume the passport holder's name, Herman Fligelman.
